2017 Candlelight Processional Packages On Sale

Joy to the World (Showcase)! The 2017 Epcot’s Candlelight Processional dining packages are now available for booking. Packages allow you to dine at one of Epcot’s participating table restaurants at lunch or dinner while guaranteeing a spot at one of the three nightly shows.

During the Candlelight Processional, a celebrity narrator (backed by a live choir and orchestra) relates the Christmas story. It’s a moving and touching delivery of a millennia-old message, unlike anything else you’ll find at Disney. Definitely not to be missed, but lines to get are often long. If you don’t want to wait in an uncovered queue for hours, a dining package is the easiest way to get a seat.

Guests can select from the following dining packages at participating restaurants:

In addition, three restaurants offer breakfast packages:

  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at $60.00 for adults and $36.00 for children.
  • The Garden Grill at $43.00 for adults and $27.00 for children.
  • Trattoria al Forno at $47.00 for adults and $28.00 for children.

Menu prices appear to have stabilized after substantial jumps in 2016, with the exceptions of Nine Dragons (lunch from $41 to $50, dinner from $51 to $58) and Trattoria al Forno breakfast ($27 to $47, albeit after a change to a character breakfast in February). Most are within a dollar or three of 2016 prices, with some even declining by the same.

The least expensive buffet options are Garden Grill breakfast ($43/$27, normally $32/$19), Biergarten lunch ($44/$25, normally ($33/$18), and Trattoria al Forno breakfast ($47/$28, normally $34/$20). Worst value appears to be Chefs de France lunch and dinner (where you get less than $40 of food for $65.99). Best value may be Via Napoli lunch (paying $54 for possibly more than that in food), Trattoria al Forno dinner (potentially break even), Restaurant Marrakesh lunch (can get around $45 of food for $50), and San Angel Inn lunch (around $55 of food for $60). Note that these are estimates based on the usual menu and that unpublished exclusions to the menu may occur for this dining package.

Meals consist of an appetizer, an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage (or a complete buffet / prix fixe meal). Guests on the Magic Your Way Dining Package or Deluxe Dining Package will use 2 table service credits.

You can book a package via the Disney World website or by calling Disney Dining at (407) 939-1947.

The 2017 Candlelight Processional runs from November 24 to December 30, with nightly showtimes of 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM.
